Kelly originally posted on Reddit asking around for a photographer for her outdoor elopement in Julian. I figured they'd have their hands full with photographer inquiries, but I crossed my fingers and sent a message anyway. We met for coffee and beer as we planned their December elopement. They explained the story of how they met while waiting in line a music festival, finding out that they were both from San Diego, had mutual friends and had never met!
Anthony and Kelly wanted something a little less traditional and that was right up my alley. They wanted an intimate ceremony to exchange vows, where they didn't have to worry about the stress and financial burden of planning a wedding. We picked a gorgeous trail in Mount Laguna, off the PCT (Pacific Coast Highway) near Julian, CA. It was a mile to the top on a very cold and windy day, but it made their ceremony all the more idyllic. After the ceremony, they had their first dance under the trees and toasted their new beginnings with a picnic! This elopement is what dreams are made of.
